13 types of grapes are cultivated for wine production

"Goygol Wine Plant" OJSC has 517 hectares of vineyard cultivated in 2006-2008 and planted with high quality local and European grape varieties. Breaded grape stems that adapted to local conditions were purchased from “GONTARD FRERESEPINIERES VITICLES” company of France and “VIVAI MARCYI” company of Italy well-known in Europe.

13 types of grape are cultivated in 517 hectares vineyards of the Goygol Wine Plant. 7  types of these species are for red wines, 6 for white wines and champagne. The grape varieties for red and white wines produced in our vineyards are as follows:
For Red Wines: Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Saperavi, Grenache, Madrasa
For White Wines: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rkatsiteli, Muscat, Bayanshira, Uniblanc
