The first Azerbaijani Wine House abroad has opened in China.

On September 2, the "Azerbaijan Wine House" was opened in the city of Urumqi, People's Republic of China. This is the first Wine House of Azerbaijan opened abroad.

The event dedicated to this occasion was attended by officials from both countries, as well as Azerbaijani wine producers and representatives of Chinese companies engaged in wine sales.

The "Azerbaijan Wine House," created with the support of the Ministry of Economy, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), and the Trade Representative Office of Azerbaijan in China, will operate in accordance with the directive of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to support the export of Azerbaijani products, expand the volume and geography of exports, promote the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand, and facilitate greater awareness and sales of Azerbaijani wines and other alcoholic beverages in the Chinese market. It will coordinate activities in this area. The permanent exhibition of the Wine House will showcase various types of Azerbaijani wines, distinguished by their special taste and quality.

At the opening ceremony, speeches were made by the Deputy Head of the International Relations Group of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, Mao Xuey, Acting Director of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev, Azerbaijan's Trade Representative in China Teymur Nadiroglu, Vice President of China's "YEMA International" company Chen Gan, Head of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Wine of Azerbaijan Elchin Medetov, and others. They emphasized that the Wine House in Urumqi would contribute to the expansion of economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and China, as well as increase the export of Azerbaijani products.

As part of the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between AZPROMO and the Chinese company "YEMA." Additionally, a press conference dedicated to Azerbaijani wines was held, presentations and videos on the development of winemaking were showcased, and a tasting of Azerbaijani wines was organized for Chinese companies engaged in wine sales.

It should be noted that with the aim of promoting the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand, stimulating export and production, and expanding the recognition and sales of Azerbaijani products in foreign markets, the opening of new trade and wine houses in other countries is planned.
