The 160-year tradition of the Goygol Wine Factory
The Goygol Wine Factory, one of the largest producers of alcoholic beverages in the country, places a strong emphasis on preserving winemaking traditions in the production of its products. Today, the natural wines produced by the factory have earned a respectable place in both local and international markets. The factory regularly collaborates with foreign experts from countries with well-developed winemaking traditions, such as France and Italy, to incorporate traditional practices into its wine production. Recently, Italian winemakers visited the vineyards, participated in all stages of production, and provided practical recommendations for high-quality and productive grape growing. The experts particularly praised the climate conditions and the potential of the vineyards for winemaking.
It is worth noting that 13 grape varieties are cultivated in the vineyards of the Goygol and Samukh regions: for red wines — Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Saperavi, Grenache, Mədrəsə; for white wines — Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Rkatsiteli, Muscat, Bayanşirə, Uniblanc. The factory strictly adheres to the requirement of maximizing the preservation of the nutritional and organoleptic properties of the raw materials, and to ensure high product quality, laboratory analyses are conducted at all stages of production using modern equipment and computer technologies.
